GETMED UK CLIENT ONBOARDING TERMS & CONDITIONS

GETMED UK – Membership Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Agreement") govern your participation in GETMED UK's Membership Packages. By completing registration, you agree to the terms outlined below. Please read carefully.

1. Membership Eligibility

  • Eligibility: Membership is available to individuals who enrol in a GETMED UK package. Services apply only to the persons listed on the registration form. Membership is available to individuals aged 13 or over. For members under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete and sign the registration form on their behalf and agree to be bound by these Terms.
  • Non-Transferability: Membership cannot be transferred or shared.

2. Membership Activation & Duration

  • Activation: Your membership becomes active once the registration form (including Terms & Conditions) is completed and payment is received in full. Written confirmation will be provided.
  • Duration: Membership is valid for 12 months from the activation date.
  • Renewal: Membership renews automatically unless cancelled with 30 days' advance written notice prior to the renewal date. Members will receive a reminder before renewal.

3. Scope of Services

  • Included Services: Membership benefits are outlined in your package description (telemedicine, home visits, concierge liaison, annual physicals, and other listed services depending on tier).
  • Exclusions & Additional Fees: Services outside your package—such as emergency care, hospitalisations, surgical procedures, specialist fees, additional diagnostic investigations, and medications—are billed separately by the providing organisation. GETMED UK does not cover charges from NHS Trusts.
  • Clinical Scope and Emergency Protocol: GETMED UK is a private primary and elective care service and does not provide emergency medical services. In a medical emergency, you must immediately contact the NHS by dialling 999 or attending the nearest Accident & Emergency department.
  • Specialist Referrals: While GETMED UK clinicians may facilitate referrals to secondary care specialists, the decision to accept the referral and the subsequent costs are the sole responsibility of the member.
  • Private Medication: All medications privately prescribed by GETMED UK clinicians will incur the full private cost of the prescription, which is paid directly to the dispensing pharmacy. This cost is separate from and in addition to your membership fees.

4. Clinical Governance and Data Protection

  • Clinical Independence: GETMED UK clinicians retain full clinical independence and professional autonomy. The member acknowledges that any treatment, investigation, or referral recommended is based solely on the clinician's professional judgment and not influenced by the commercial terms of the membership.
  • Data Protection (GDPR): Your health information will be managed in strict accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, as detailed in the GETMED UK Privacy Policy. You consent to the secure sharing of relevant clinical data between your GETMED UK clinician and other mandated NHS services (e.g., Summary Care Record, secondary care referrals), where clinically necessary and permitted by law.

5. Fees & Payment Terms

  • Membership Fee: Must be paid in full at the time of activation by bank transfer, card payment, or other approved method or paid monthly under an annual commitment plan.
  • Additional Fees: Any services not included in your package will attract additional charges, which must be settled prior to or at the time of service.
  • Late Payment: GETMED UK may suspend services for unpaid fees. If payment remains outstanding for 30 days, membership may be terminated without refund.

6. Controlled Medications Policy

  • GETMED UK clinicians follow UK prescribing laws and clinical guidelines.
  • Controlled medications will not be prescribed without:
    • an appropriate clinical assessment,
    • review of medical records where necessary,
    • confirmation of identity,
    • and justification in line with NICE, GMC, and UK prescribing standards.
  • GETMED UK may decline to prescribe controlled substances if clinically inappropriate, unsafe, or inconsistent with best practice.
  • Lost or stolen prescriptions for controlled medications will not be replaced without formal reassessment and police report.

7. Cancellation & Termination

Member-Initiated Cancellation
  • You may cancel your membership at any time with written notice.
  • A full refund is available only if cancellation occurs within 14 days of activation and no services have been used.
  • If services have been rendered within the 14-day period, their value will be deducted before any refund.
  • After 14 days, memberships are non-refundable.
Monthly Payment Plans (Annual Commitment)
  • Cooling-Off Period: Members have a statutory 14-day period from activation to cancel their membership and receive a full refund.
  • Deduction for Used Services: If services are used within the 14-day period, the value of those services will be deducted before any refund. The deducted value will be calculated based on GETMED UK's standard published pay-as-you-go rate for non-members for the reasonable cost of the services consumed. After 14 days, memberships are non-refundable.
  • Monthly Payment Plans: Members opting for monthly payments agree to a 12-month annual commitment. Cancelling after the 14-day cooling-off period does not release the member from the obligation to complete the annual payment term. Monthly instalments will continue to be due until the end of the 12-month period. If membership is terminated by GETMED UK due to non-payment or violation of terms, the remaining balance of the annual commitment becomes immediately due. Services may be suspended if payments are missed.
GETMED UK-Initiated Termination

GETMED UK reserves the right to terminate a membership for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Non-payment of fees
  • Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour toward any member of our team, including verbal aggression, harassment, intimidation, or repeated inappropriate contact—whether in person, by phone, email, written communication, or electronic messaging.

No refund will be issued in such cases, and future enrolment may be declined.

8. Amendments to Terms & Conditions

GETMED UK may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated to members and take effect immediately upon notification.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.

10. Acceptance

By completing the registration form and activating your membership, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
